quick question- Do you tip furniture delivery people? |
|
I have some furniture coming tomorrow and I was wondering if it's customary to tip. For what it's worth they're no stairs or long walkways to my place.

1. If they work for a big chain it's probably not allowed. |
|
With a smaller company it may be okay, you may want to call and ask in advance if the delivery drivers are permitted to accept tips.

3. It's light, so if you're not in the boonies or anything it needn't be much |
|
I'm thinking $5-10 although even just offering them some cold sodas out of the fridge if it's hot outside would probably be really appreciated.

5 bucks per person per piece of furniture carried up those many steps.
But I'm cheap.
