My boss is making me nuts...again

She just walked into my cubicle. Said, "have you heard from so-and-so?". I said no. She said, "you might want to follow-up with her this afternoon."

No details. Nothing at all about why I need to talk to this other person. Now I'm wondering what the hell is up. Has this person already talked to my boss about some problem with the audit report I gave her right before the holidays? Is there some issue that I ought to know about that my boss just set me up to get hammered on? What the fuck?
