You know, I had this whole feud years ago, that crossed over into IRL - I think it was before you came, but I can't remember. It was over similar subject matter. And years went by and I didn't post for a long time, and then I came back and now the other party and I are quite civil, even friendly. It's all resolved.

And now I have these other idiots, but the beauty of DU now is that they can't keep it going, not with me directly. They have to make sideways comments in other people's threads, which of course I miss, because I have them on ignore. It's brilliant! :D I waste exactly zero time thinking about them (until this thread, heh) and they can continue their odd little obsession with me. I love this place.

I tend to agree. While I understand the joy than many have felt, I guess not having been on the receiving end of such unwanted attention, I don't see the need for it.

It's a shame that the Admins and Mods don't allow just a few people who have truly been treated unfairly or harassed the option. I guess that would be exclusionary. I would just like to see it more difficult to administer such banishment. If I were being harassed, I should be able to go to the Admins, show my case and get this privilege against those who are harassing. For everyone to be able to use it willy-nilly may lead to some very deep division building.

Or I could be completely wrong on the whole matter.
