Help! My husband is making me go see "Foreigner"!

One of his friends convinced him that this would be fun; they're playing at a local club. Tickets were $46!

I do love rock, and there was a time when I listened to Foreigner, but aside from some of my very favorites from those days (Led Zeppelin) I mostly listen to new stuff. The other concerts I'm going to in the coming months are:
Bright Eyes
Anti-Flag
Against Me! (both great political punk bands that I'm taking my 11 yr old to see)
Brand New
and Cowboy Junkies

So you can imagine how I feel about Foreigner. My husband said he thought it was mostly the original lineup, but it looks to me like one of those Vegas-type shows, with one band member (Mick Jones) remaining.

The only thing to look forward to is Jason Bonham on drums.

I find it hard to find anyone who likes them. Jesse is such a great songwriter.

I didn't like Anti-Flag nearly as much as Against Me at first, but recently have been listening to them more. We're seeing them in SF with Set Your Goals.

17. Seen them live? I saw them twice last year.

Once in SF -- good show, but at the end Jesse told us that his brother almost died that day, he was hit by a car I guess. So he was a little distracted.

Then I saw them again at Bamboozle Left in Southern Cal.; they were drop-dead amazing.

Can't wait to see them again, I love the new CD.

It's really impressive how much they've progressed since Your Favorite Weapon (which I can't stand, haha) and even from Déjà Entendu.

Actually he's not that excited about it, esp when he found out it was only 1 original member. I think he got caught up in the moment with his friend who actually thinks this is good music.

My hubby ultimately has mostly good music taste. He loves Neil Young, so that's enough for me.

Foreigner was my FIRST concert. They were great at the time, that was in their hayday. I don't think it would be the with out the "real" guys.
