I have a million thoughts swimming around my little mind.

How can such a stupid person, as I, think so many thoughts at once?

And, please don't give me platitudes or compliments...there are none sufficient.

Why can my perception change, so dramatically, at times?

This place is foreign to me.

The jokes suddenly seem like they are on the other side of a circle, where I don't belong.

And, familiar faces are gone.

I'm probably just tired...and weary from sharing too much of myself.

Your post made me think of this song. No platitudes, no compliments (although I enjoyed your pictures today) - with all the conversations going on here sometimes I haven't the faintest idea what anyone is talking about, and sometimes it seems as if everyone is obsessed with nonsense. Tomorrow will be different (it always is), and DU is really just a small small part of life.

I'm Trav. A refugee from GD. Kinda new to the Lounge. Nice to meet ya.

No ... it isn't life. But it is a pleasant diversion, sometimes a source of information or support. It is a virtual place, where our virtual selves get to mingle and sometimes have fun or even do something useful.

And a lot of times it is just a place where people throw their virtual asses.

So it is not life. It is merely an accessory. Take what you can use, leave the rest.
