| Comcast is making their repair-people work on Easter Sunday! At straight time! |
|
I called Comcast this past Sunday morning to have them deal with a recurring problem. They said they'd have to schedule a service call, and I was all ready to demand that they come sometime in the evening this week, as I was NOT going to take a day off to wait for them!
Imagine my surprise when she scheduled it for that very afternoon. When the guy got to my house, I commented that I didn't think they worked on Sundays. He said that they do, and that Comcast was expecting them to work on Easter too. And, they were only going to pay it at straight time. I think that's a little cold, I can't believe they aren't going to pay at least time and a half. That sucks.

the person's schedule is probably rotational, just like nurses and a lot of other people do. They won't get paid time and 1/2 because they are only working a 35-40 hour week. The days of the week they work are irrelevant.
