| Trekkers: Which species do the Democrats remind you of? |

Essentially, 24th century humans. Though being a Dean supporter, I can say that there is some Klingon among Dean supporters.

| 3. In the original series , there was a race.. |
|
that was decimated (I don't remember how it happened), and it was down to its last representative, a young woman (Miri?). This woman had the power to heal others by taking on their wounds. The task given the woman was supposed to demonstrate her worthiness, and that of her race, for survival. She hesitated, fearing the pain and possibly death, when McCoy was presented to her broken and bleeding and close to death. The real test was of her selflessness. In the end, she saved McCoy, after absorbing all of his injuries, but it took a long time for her to decide. We have the ability to accomplish great social change, but we hesitate because of the things we might lose if we try. If we don't try now, pretty soon it will be too late, just as it was almost too late for Miri?

| 17. That was from the episode The Empath |
|
Miri was from the episode where there were no adults around.
The Republicans are definitely a mix between the Klingons and the Ferengi (you will be assimilated).

I'm a Clarkie and I wanted to be a Klingon!
I guess I'll have to settle for a Betazoid or something.

I think of Trekkers as folks who wander high into Himalayas and such.

The true fans find Trekkies offensive and coined the term Trekkers at least 20 years ago. And i should know, i am one!
Afficianados of Next Generation then went on to coin Nexters as a way of showing their preference in the Trekker world. Then the DS9 folks called themselves Niners. I've never heard Voyager folks use their own term, though. The Professor

But whatever keeps 'em going. I guess there's always got to be division.

"On fucking drugs or something"
The people in the Trek community tend to dislike Voyager and Enterprise because of both poor quality writing and Rick Berman's fucking around with the timline of the Trek universe.

The women who stole Spock's brain.
One of them says "I am for D'Amato!" before she kills a red shirt dude.
