2 Cukes, peeled and sliced thin 1 8 oz container sour cream 1 tablespoon white vinegar 1 small onion, sliced or diced.. your preference fresh dill 1 tablespoon capers, drained salt pepper
combine all ingredients in large bowl, cover and refrigerate for a few hours. Stir, and enjoy. Edited because I forgot the vinegar.. duh..

| 11. Nasty day. Feels like March. |
|
I'm just hanging around with the goony bird that's *still* at my place. (Would a cockatiel fill the empty space in your life?)
I should be getting stuff done, but I just feel like being lazy.

| 14. I'm actually terrified of birds. |
|
Particularly parrots and cockatiels!
I'm even a little scared of chickens if you can believe that.
I just don't want to get pecked.

| 18. Well, this particular bird doesn't want scritches. |
|
I can't tell if he wants love, either.
Mostly, he seems to want to bite my hands. That, and whatever I happen to be eating.

thats pretty much the only dish i've had them in
capers are always the thing you buy for specific dish, use about a teaspoon of them, then they sit in the back of the fridge for months

Well, almost everything. I get the large Costco size jar. I love capers. I put them in pasta salad. I make a marinade for fish and chicken with garlic, lemon juice and capers then barbecue.
Lemon, garlic and capers works great in many Italian dishes. Also garlic, tomatoes, olive oil and capers go well together.

| 22. Serve Them With Smoked Salmon |
|
Layer smoked salmon on a plate with thinly sliced onion and a handful of capers. Drizzle olive oil (EVOO) over it and serve with a dark rye bread. Great appetizer.
