I thought that said "You posted a killer deer recipe once." That amused me greatly.

Food=steak. :eyes:
Some of the most delicious food, some of the most well-prepared food, some of the best (by any standards other than those of neanderthals) is free from meat.

What about you? you work there too. That is discrimination. Why not go to a place that offers vegetarian options. Believe it or not we have a great restaurants that offers great Mediterranean food (a lot of it with no meat) yet you can get your prime cut of steak if you want it. They could make sure you get the reward you deserve for being a hard worker for the company.

Surely, only those who eat meat put thought into meal preparation and enjoy their food.
I'll go eat some plain cubed tofu over brown rice now. 'Cause vegetarians do that.
:sigh:

There's nothing in the definition of "foodie" that states you must be a meat eater. If you have a serious enjoyment of food, then you're a foodie, but that doesn't mean you have to be willing to eat all foods.
BTW, if you're ever in Austin, I recommend the Chef's vegetarian tasting menu at Zoot. Absolutely amazing.

I would think vegans and vegetarians would be More likely to be 'foodies' (people who really enjoy their food and look for any chance to have something good) because they give their diet more thought in general and put more effort into finding tasty things to eat.

| 13. It certainly does require more thought. |

When you're a meat eater, you can get by (if you don't care) without thinking about your food. Your meals just kinda make themselves. When you aim to cut meat out of your diet, you have to think about what you're going to cook, it's true. You can't just leave out the meat - that would make a very boring meal indeed. So you have to try a little harder to make interesting meals.

I'd agree, however, that you're only a partial foodie, because (for whatever reason) you do not allow yourself to experience the entire range of "food." Which is OK. It's like being a stoner instead of a druggie. "I do not sniff the coke, I only smoke..."
