He was atrocious in Star Wars episode 2 and he was the main role!!! It was appalling to watch. The only good thing in ep 2 was Mace Windu (the only good thing of any thing in the movie, whether it be plot, actor, acting, character, or otherwise - everyone else was just doing an average job and the effects... some of them were noticeably bad - you could see it was computer generated - and the rest were just too many wibbly things on screen at once. Lucas wanted to wait 17 years just so he could use a computer to litter the movie screen with 500,000,000,000,000,000,000 more objects than are needed? The original trilogy had busy moments too, but at least nobody was drowning in the excess! But I never believed all 9 parts were written at the same time anyway and then shelved all these years... but now I digress too far...)

As bad as Episode Two was, and it was pretty bad, this kid's acting was right out a junior-high-school drama club. And I still haven't figured out how a pipsqueak Justin-Timberlake-clone like Hayden Christiansen is supposed to morph into giant British bodybuilder David Prowse, with a voice like James Earl Jones.
