Do the spirits speak to you? Do you pray to the Goddess? Have you felt the awesome beauty of the Eastern, Southern, Western and Northern spirits? Do you pound your drum, channeling the power of the universe in the racket?
How upset are you every Fall when your fellow Americans/Duers "bash" your religious beliefs in an indulgent parody of "witchcraft?" How do you feel about the fact that not a single pagan politican has been taken seriously as a presidential candidate? Do you acknowledge what you're doing you inject your pagan views into your politics? Do you give a hoot what/whom the rest of america is worshipping?
I'd conduct a poll, but won't contribute until DU has a feminist icon I can adopt.
Replies are open to pagans, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslins, whatever other shroud you choose to wear.

And have done all of the above.
As well as others. I'm as eclectic as it gets.

| 4. Technically, atheists are pagans |
|
Look up the word "pagan" in a dictionary. The term basically includes anyone who isn't a part of an Abrahamic faith.
So no, I'm not a pagan :)

| 8. Classic misconception. |

God doesn't cause bad things to happen, he merely permits them.
God didn't create GW, he permitted Satan's firey urine to impregnate ol'Barb.

| 7. My spirits talk to me... |
|
The wine is asking me to open the bottle and free it of the oppressive cork bearing down...
The beer is asking me to remove the bottle cap and free it back onto this earth from its transparent glass prison.
The yaegermeister is begging to fondle my esophagus... (no, that isn't sex related... go look it up!)
And the policeman is threatening a DUI ticket, so the booze stays locked up for life. :D
In seriousness, everybody has an opinion. I know that 96% of Americans believe in something. I believe in something too. But I'm not vain or arrogant enough to say "THAT is the true God, all others are false so you're all going to turn into pillars of salt, but why wait? I'll send my army to give you a swifter demise..." What's left to say? God exists. I don't think God is a nasty bugger, but nor is God an always nice Deity. God wants us all to grow up and get along and preferably without intervention. God tried that once... Jesus did die trying to save us, though I think he struck out on that one... That's why God didn't try again, perhaps?

I get tired of being in a minority sometimes, but we typically don't recruit--ya know? Plus we allow for the use of Birth Control--so we are not likely to over run the planet anytime soon.
Pax to you, and Merry Meet!
