This is my first post on my Mother's Day present: a brand-spankin'-new MacBook! Out of the box only one hour and all my files are transferred and I'm a happy camper!

Just trying to stop thinking about how we're going to pay for this beauty...there's some serious heat radiating off our charge card, I know it...

But it's just so darn PRETTY! Mr. MG and MG Jr. are good boys.

Now you can spend more time with us! Just kidding..I wish I could do that for my mom who has a clunky slow computer...:)

'Course, I am still into that pesky "sleeping" thing. If I got rid of that, I'd have a whole extra seven hours to post!

Come to think of it, I CAN spend more time with you guys on DU--now I'll be able to sit on the couch while MG Jr. plays, and I can post and change the channel on the TV for him at the same time! OOooohhh it's a whole new world, I tell ya! Now I won't be chained to the computer desk in the living room. Gasp--I'll be able to work on the back porch while--double gasp--getting fresh air!

5. I understand your joy

I didn't get a new computer, but I did get an upgrade to 8 GB of memory in my desktop. My graphic applications run so much better now.

6. I haven't had a new 'puter in many years

This replaces my iBoob. I can't wait to check out how it handles streaming video--of course, anything, including a hamster on a wheel, would be better than my old machine when it comes to that.

The only thing I have to investigate is whether I can load OS 9 on this--my Photoshop and Quark apps are pretty darn old...
