On the subject of Lounge drama:

I don't know what the most recent drama is about, nor do I want to know. But let me share some excerpts from something a very wise DUer wrote to me:

...the seriousness with which Duers take the lounge has not changed since its inception. ... Live and learn I guess. Online is NOT real life, and it comes out badly whenever they mix, with rare exception. I've met up with DUers from here before and we enjoy each others company. ...If it were me, I'd just keep on keeping on... stop the PMing with EVERYONE entirely, and try enjoying the lounge as a two dimensional thing extant of the real world. ...try to take a few steps back and look at this: it's basically your keyboard, a monitor, and letters on a screen. Don't read any more into it, enjoy it like you would a good book.

This is probably the best advice I've ever gotten from someone on DU.
And on that note, I've turned my off my PM function again.
