Movie re-makes that actually rocked?

I think the Dawn of the Dead remake is FANTASTIC.

The new Sabrina was great I think, and King Kong wasn't too bad.

I have mixd feelings about Superman.

I'd be glad to watch a JAWS remake if there ever is one!!!

1. Superman wasn't a remake, they tried to fit it into the continuity somehow.

And bolluxed it up a bit IMO. :P

I didn't really like the new King Kong either, despite the fact that I like Peter Jackson. Then again, I never saw any of the originals either, so I can't really compare.

Dawn of the Dead was pretty good. And I actually liked the new Sabrina better than the original. That was one of the few cases where they took the old movie and actually sat down and said, "Okay, it's a good movie but there are a few little plot holes here and there and things that don't quite fit together... how can we improve on that?" And then they actually put some effort into improving it. :P That makes a bit of a difference.

I like the new one better too!

My husband cried his eyes out every time he watched the old King Kong. Then he saw the new one and lost it all over again! :rofl: I guess it was at least good enough to make him cry lol

5. I was OK with the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre...

The advancement of special effects made it worth watching.
