I couldn't put up with what I saw from skimming that, so I don't know.... think you would like that?
I have a friend who's a buddhist, and he and his family go on a buddhist retreat every summer for a week or two, and he loves it.
Do you regularly practice meditation anyway?

I think I might like the serentiy. My life is so chaotic and I really need to get something to ground me....I can't seem to get to that place now and I am thinking that this might help me reach nirvana tonight (To quote FZ) or at lest help me get to that space.

I am familiar with this group. Run, do not walk. I have bad problems with any organized group that demands a psych test before they allow you to participate in their activities. And the last I heard, these people do, particularly before you go on a sit.

Certain personality and other mental disorders can be aggravated by sits such as this one.Especially if it involves any tantrism or kundalini work.

| 15. My BIL just came back from one of those |
|
I was talking to him on the phone about it this evening. His meditation was quite strict. All his personal belongings were confiscated, his diet was restricted to vegetarian food (lunch was the main meal and they only had two pieces of fruit for dinner), he was not allowed to talk to any of the other people for nine of the ten days there and they wouldn't allow my sister (his wife) to take the course at the same time because they insisted that no-one should know each other on the course. It was basically straight out meditation for ten days -you were required to wake up at 4AM every morning and meditate till late at night. He said he found it challenging and difficult at first but he gradually adjusted and he found the whole experience interesting, wothwhile and helpful

My psychedelic experiences have me concerned too.
And I have one hell of alot of emotional baggage that I have not dealt with nor do I have a clue as to how to deal with. And I really am not sure that if it came to the forefont that I could deal with it. I might just fall totally to pieces, much like my last psychedelic experience. That was very very very unpleasant, in fact downright frightening, and I am not sure I could possibly be able to deal with another similar experience.
