Damn, how the mighty have fallen. Second "Police" LP, for those of you not up on such things.
1979 was a great year for albums; irst B52s LP, London Calling (released in 1980, though), Reggatta de Blanc, Pretenders debut record, Stranglers "Black and White".
Mmmmmm...retrolicious!

in England, anyway. Yep. '79 was a good year for alternative (i.e. non-disco) music.
Also:
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers: Damn The Torpedoes Elvis Costello: Armed Forces Michael Jackson: Off The Wall (yes, it's disco. but it's a great record) Cheap Trick: Cheap Trick At Budokan Pink Floyd: The Wall Neil Young and Crazy Horse: Rust Never Sleeps Joe Jackson: Look Sharp! Nick Lowe: Labour Of Lust The Police: Outlandos D'amour Dire Straits: Dire Straits Buzzcocks: Singles Going Steady The Specials: The Specials XTC: Drums and Wires
