Did I ever tell you I once met Drudge. He looks in person as
he looks on television...like a putz. One has to wonder if the reason
he's anti abortion is because he survived an attempted one. He's Jewish and probably in his 40's ...so it seemed odd that he would be
a rabid right winger....

It was during the impeachment of William Jefferson Clinton and
a bunch of interneters got together and put on a rally in support
of Big Dawg in DC.

Drudge came over, without his hat, and was berating and arguing with some of the ladies - so I went over and gave him an earful of vast
right wing conspiracy - Scaiffe, Federalist society -

he looked at me, astonished, and said "You've been brainwashed" and disappeared.......think about that. Who's brainwashed???One has to wonder if the reason he's anti abortion is because he survived an attempted one. He's Jewish (or maybe he's a Jew for Jesus which is like saying he's a fundamentalist Christian) and probably in his 40's ...so it seemed odd that he would be a rabid hard right winger..

Will, if you make it out to Detroit some time, I'll take you to the shop my uncle runs, where he and my father build classic cars and street rods. They are pretty well-known in those circles for their work. I could even see about arranging for a ride in one of them.

I house sit for friends and others in order to earn extra money. While I enjoy staying in places larger than my efficiency apartment and with cable (I don't have cable) I find that I miss my apartment.

But it's my fault...I was a bad example for him. You know, it is an amazing thing for me to be able to keep track of Will over the internet on DU or Truthout. Often, instead of calling him (and bugging him) I'll just tune in to see what he's up to. And then there are Du'ers like Crewleader who report in after they have seen him. I really love that...and them! :-)

23. Man I'm still hung over :-)

I managed to 4 hours sleep before having to get up to
go to the Tallica , Linkin Park, Limp Byzkit concert .
This housewife Mother just spent 2 days out on the town w/
friends , drinking and having a wonderful time . I think
it's been 7 years since I had that kind of break . Really
took me back to some crazy days of youth .

I bet traveling all around , helps to give you an apreciation
of home . Me I think I need more nights out like I had this weekend
to give me that apreciation :shrug:

It was great meeting you Will . Next time your in the neighborhood.
