we dont walk in lockstep for everything, you didnt understand my reply to slinkywink, I saw a "woe is me" post and an attack on all men, is she's angry about a few the let it be said a few, dont include all men, the ones who make offensive comments will ALWAYS make offensive comments, etiquette is obvious to most and some choose to ignore it either out of ignorance or more likely lack of character. I will not opologise for anothers crass comments nor be flamed because of my sex.

Imagine how guilty I feel because of all the advantages I get by being a 30 something male.

I tell you, it's quite a cross to bear :-)

I have to feel guilty when I get jobs over other people based on my gender.

I have to feel guilty when salespeople talk to me, not Ms Eureka (albeit at their own peril, of course)

I have to feel guilty when politicians try and appease my demographic*

So many things to feel guilty about, I can hardly stand the pain.


(* demographics may not be interchangable between countries, the US is very different to where I live)

I live in Australia.

Things are very different here than they are in the US, and the more I see on DU the more surprised I am. In some ways the US is "more progressive" than we are, but in others, I am truly shocked (eg, boobgate, far out we get bits shown all over the place and you can say the f word whenever the urge takes you)

Yeah, we can leave it at "cause" if you like, I was being a smartass but the general principle of what I posted stands

of the US and UK, wish the continent was closer. I grew up in the UK but have spent most of my adult life in the US, visited Australia when I was in the navy and loved it, if GW wins I might have to emmigrate there
