Holy crap! Watching Letterman last night and I usually tune out the musical acts. But.... wow! It's not normally my genre, but that voice!

An astonishing piece of work. I'm not really crazy about Krall, but this album is magnificent.

The songs are all over the place, by different composers, including Tom Waits, Mose Allison, done after her mother died and while she was being courted by Elvis, and then married, this album is a storybook of immense power and beauty.

I should go put it on right now, but if I did, I wouldn't be able to do anything else.

Don't miss it.
