3. I loved Quark! That show deserved a longer run!
That was one of my first memories of being pissed off that a show was cancelled.

4. Apparently, the DVD release came out in Oct 2008. I only saw it at Best Buy on Wed., on sale...

I'm surprised it was axed. It does a rather good job at parodying sci-fi up to 1978, while putting in enough twists to the parodies to make them original in their own right.
