| A contest I know I can win: I root for the worst franchise in sports, currently... |
|
Between the misspellings on the shirts Friday (Natinals)..the horrid play of baseball last year (over a 100 losses) the bad start this year 1-10 and losing three games in a row by blowing 9th inning leads..having the now ex-GM's offices raided by the FBI in the off season..AND by having the horribly sad death of Harry Kallas on opening day in our ballpark...I just don't what else to say...Is it too much to ask to just have a somewhat mediocre to bad team? Frankly I feel like someone dressed up the Keystone Kops in baseball uniforms...x(

|
Don't get me wrong - I'm hardly bragging about their season thus far, but they ARE the World Champs until October....and besides, they're notorious for their slow starts.
C'mon, girl - you got the hots for Chase, anyway! How could you go wrong? I'll even give you one of my many Phillies shirts. :)

Tell you what though..I'm REALLY beginning to hate those fish from Florida..:grr: Without a doubt though..Phillies have the hottest looking guys (although the Nats Ryan Zimmerman isn't hard on the eyes either)

| 5. Your guys had good bats last week. |
|
Good improvements. Hopefully they learn to field and pitch, and they'll be pretty good. Remember, it's early in the season where pitching is at its worst. It'll get better.

Your team, the Nats, will be playing the Dbacks May 8-10....
Right there are 3 wins for the Nats. Bet on it.

| 9. I feel bad for the Natinals - I mean Nationals |
|
Sorry about that. It was one of the Florida announcers that found the Natinals shirts and I think ran with it. I also thought it was kind of funny that Saturday and Sunday they wore the red uniforms that didn't have any spelling on it at all.
As for the Marlins, remember we were the joke of the league for sooooooo many years. Washington can come back, they just need better pitching. I feel bad for Scott Olsen (former Marlin), he pitched a great game on Saturday and totally deserved to win. I'm rooting for him and Josh Willingham. I loved both guys when they played for the marlins last year.
Keep your chin up. It does get better . . .

In that way, they're really number one.

So long as the Detroit Lions exist, no other team can vie for the title "worst franchise in sports."
Detroit residents, is it true your quarterback endorses vacuums on the offseason using the tagline "it sucks nearly as hard as we do"?
