I just added 256 MB RAM to my computer

I had 128 total running XP, and things were a tad sluggish. I'm up to 320 (64 existing+256 card) and I'm liking it quite a lot.

do a total scandisk, virusscan, and DEFINATELY defragmentation...clean that sucker up..and it will be humming like a ferrari

I'll bet you're still buried in swap. I just upgraded mine to 655 Mb and it's still not enough.
