..."Marjon" is not one of them. Can't be a smartass without being smart, dude. ;-)

Watching a poker game just doesn't make for very exciting television, IMHO. I'd rather watch golf and that's NOT saying that I enjoy watching golf :P

| 4. I love 7 card hold 'em too |

I'm addicted to the WSOP. I like it on the Travel channel on Wednesday from 9-11. They play a complete game. ESPN ("The Limbaugh Network") usually jumps around from game to game. Tonight, they seem to be sticking with one game. Let's hope Limbaugh doesn't start announcing WSOP games.

| 6. I play Texas Hold 'em in a regular home game... |
|
what a great game. I grew up playing stud mostly, but picked up hold 'em after college. Simply the best card game ever invented. We had a nice eight-hour session this past Saturday night, in fact, that broke up at four. I play a bit on the internet, a couple friends of mine do as well.
This is the next big television "sport", bank on it. There is already a fledgling tour, called the World Poker Tour, airing on the Travel Channel.
It's perfect for tv. You can hear the competitors converse, millions of people play poker and understand it, and, most importantly, ANYONE can play it. Young, old, men, women, all races, creeds, anyone. My wife loves watching it and I'm teaching her to play to. ESPN used to just show the final table at the WSOP, now they have highlighted tables thoughout the whole tourmanent. This is going to just explode soon.
