If I were a Christian, I'd pray for Bush. His soul is in some serious trouble.

I'm a Christian, and I'll just say I won't worry about him, God can judge him.

Welcome to DU :hi:
Freepers are people who post at freerepublic.com. They're ultra conservative, and a lot of them aren't too bright.
Edit: I'd put in a link to Free Republic by mistake. :scared:

"Amen, peekaboo. No President in my lifetime has endured such abuse in office. He needs our prayers!"
snuh. bufuzz. glumboo. dwee. burgle. snuh. snuh.
I'm reduced to twitching gibberish by that one. George has enjoyed a long, luxurious backrub from the media for the last three years.
snuh.

| 14. All Christians are commanded to pray for their leaders |
|
1 Tim. 2: "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God's mercy upon them, and give thanks. Pray this way for kings and all others who are in authority, so that we can live in peace and quietness, in godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior..."
It does not make a distinction on what political party they are in.

| 15. note what it says though: |
|
so that we can live in peace and quietness, in godliness and dignity.
* isn't exactly accomplishing this. And the freepers are just wanting him to continue to do what he's doing.
I suppose I could pray that he changes, but I don't see how he possibly could.

| 18. Just because the prayers have not been answered also does not mean |
|
we don't keep praying. Sometimes it's hard for me to pray for leaders I completely disagree with, but God can use EVERYONE who is in power to accomplish his purposes.

Hold on to your lunch... http://www.snopes.com/photos/maggots.aspHowever, the idea that the troops should be praying for the wellbeing of the vile creep that sent them to die for personal profit is a pretty close second.
