Today, I actually caught myself being annoyed that nobody gives me good kitchen knives for presents. Because, you know, I can't get mySELF good kitchen knives, because I already have kitchen knives and they haven't worn out or anything, they're just cheap and not very good but that's just the rules. And the rational part of my mind (at last count one brain cell) grasped that I have untold numbers of these rules, unwritten, unspoken, un- uh, thought out loud, if you will, ruling my life. So I went out and bought a better (or at least more expensive) knife for myself. The gluten-free casein-free no-sugar Big Bowl Of Soil At Every Meal diet will be my deliverance yet (please no Ned Beatty jokes) assuming it doesn't kill me. Huzzah!

Most of us, Asperger's or not, have them and don't even realize it.
BTW, what was the occasion for presents? I remember we share a birthday so it's not that.
