| 1. I love Percy Shelley's poetry and essays |
|
I have a hundred year old engraving of him over my desk. I even love his wife Mary Shelley and her Mother Mary Wollenstonecraft who was quite the feminist.

| 3. Yes the Author of "Frankenstein" |
|
It is said that her novel started as a scary story contest between her, Percy and Lord Byron. I am tired now so am having a hard time remembering the details. She won the contest and later made it into a book. She also edited the first collected edition of his poems after his death. There are some scholars who claim she actually added, to and completed, some of his poems. They were a fascinating couple and he was a proponent of "free love."

They really sound like my type of people. Hearing that makes me wonder if there is a deep social message in Frankenstein.

I was really moved and identified very much with the Monster in her book. A lot different than the movie.
