What's amazing about the Kelly number and West Side Story's America is that there are very few cut aways. These are filmed in real time with hardly a slice in either one...

Video's seem so sliced and diced you can't tell if they are dancing the number step by step...

version of Singing in the Rain with Kelly. Not as fluid a dancer as Kelly but Usher is very talented...

6. "All I Need Is The Girl."

One of my favorite musicals is Gypsy and I love this number. The act is breaking up and one of the boy dancers tells Louise of his dream of becoming a great dancer like Fred Astaire.

He shows her all of the moves that he's been perfecting and every time he raises his imaginary partner in the air Louise raises herself up, unseen by him. He sings All I Need Is The Girl and Louise longs to be that girl. Magical.

8. Gene Nelson, "Everything's Up To Date In Kansas City."

So many great numbers in the film of Oklahoma! Favorite is Gene Nelson and Charlotte Greenwood (as Aunt Eller) doing this one. At age 65 Greenwood was capping off a wonderful career on Broadway and in movies.
