| May 18th is 30 years since Mt St Helens blew up... |
|
Anyone anywhere near there at the time, and see the eruption?
I have a jar of Mt St Helens ash, in my "stuff."

Seriously, a guy I knew who had been in Yakima had it, and he gave it to me.

| 4. Some day in the distant future, archaeologists will discover Harry Truman |
|
and the home that he refused to leave. I was nowhere near the eruption, but I remember Harry Truman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Randall_Truman

| 8. I was visiting my Grandparents in Chewelah |
|
which is near Spokane. I lived north of Seattle, so either way I missed seeing it. But it was kinda fun to wake up to the heavy dusting of ash. And yes, I have a jar of it.
That other volcano may be putting a bit of a damper in my summer travel plans. First damned international vacation I've planned for over a decade.
