I hate the canned stuff, can't stand the Michoacan stuff that is at most Mex Rest's here in CA (the one shortcoming) and want a nice red, maya menudo

7. Can you give me a day?

I'll ask at work tomorrow. None of my coworkers is Mexican but 3 are from El Salvador and the cuisine is very similar to Southern Mexican cuisine. Alternately, they may know where I can find an authentic recipe.

I'd ask my brother because he manages a **** gourmet Mexican restaurant but he's more about Baja, California-style, Northern Mexico and Tex-Mex.
