| Top Chef fans check-in! Who is your pick to win All-Stars **spoilers** |

I was so upset they sent Elia home instead of Steven. Obviously they were keeping Fabio since he draws in an audience but I think Elia would have been better ratings for the show then Stephen, who is basically a cooking illiterate pompous asshole.
I thought the quick-fire challenge rocked when each of the contestants received the ingredients from the recipe that sent them home the last time. My favorites had to be Spike, which is frozen scallops, and Jamie who got stuck with that french bass recipe w/ celery that she hated so much.
I'm thinking the winners will be either Jen or Richard.
Who do you think will win

| 1. I like the pompous asshole. |

I love Fabio, and have never forgiven Elia for her part in the Marcel assualt. So, I was glad she went home. There are only about 3 that I wouldn't want to win, Jen, Dale and Elia(which is already gone).
They all are very good chefs so I have no clue who will win. I don't really even care, since I like so many of them. Just as long as Jen or Dale doesn't win.

| 2. I LOVE Anthony Bourdain as a regular judge, he was hysterical |
|
"The marine corp told us to get unfucked. Dale unfucked this."
About Spike: "Is he the craftiest motherfucker the show's ever had?"

I have no idea who's going to win. I think Angelo is going to give Jen and Richard a run for their money. Don't count out Carla sticking around to the end as well. This season is going to rock!

| 5. I loved how Fabio got right back into his face. I think that's a reason he wasn't eliminated |
|
I mean I thought perhaps Elia had a chance with that plea she made but Fabio just ripped Bourdain a new one. That confrontation saved his ass when he really did make a pile of crap.

|
You can't admit to not checking to see if your food is cooked and be allowed to stay. It'll be interesting to see how the chefs deal with Bourdain each week. Perhaps he's looking for the chefs to defend their food to him, but he also doesn't seem to be the one who will back down either. Could be fun.

To be frank, he's better than Collechio, who seems like he's pretty much done with this show. Getting too testy.

I know it's going to be a fun season for that reason alone.
I'm not going to call a season winner, because for me the journey is much more exciting than the destination.

| 7. I don't think Jen deserved to make the semifinals of season six. |
|
Somehow she skated by the judges, and got lucky. I'm glad Elia went home already. Like the poster said above, I haven't liked her since that crap that went down with Marcel in season two. She should've been canned, as well as Ilan. Steven cares more about the wine instead of the food. I don't know why they bought him back to begin with.
I like Angelo. I hope he wins this season. I don't think Richard is going to win (although I wouldn't mind seeing him win either) just because he'll choke in the finale, like he did before.

| 9. Lots of good cooks in this bunch. |
|
I have to admit, I can't really pick out just yet who I think will win. Some are better than others, but even at that--this is a bunch of folks with a lot of skills and an abundance of talent.
I kinda figured both Dales made it as far as they did because they were good enough to make it past the midpoint, plus, they got lucky a few times. I'm not writing them off completely, but they caught a few breaks along the way in their seasons. (You could probably say that same thing about a few others, as well...)
I'd like to see Blaise finish well because I think he's basically a nice enough guy who doesn't try and run down the opposition. He just tries real hard to do interesting stuff with food that actually tastes good--ya know?
Fabio, Spike, and Marcel all have huge egos, but I have seen them all put out some good looking plates, along with some pretty terrible sounding stuff. Steven can't cook worth a $h*t, but he's got an ability to pair wines and flavors--so I look for him to ride for a while longer along with the three egos. Ultimately, however, I think they will all get sent home during the middle rounds. Marcel may surprise me, but I think the entire "Foam" thing has jumped the shark--I think he's gonna go before the end.
I like most of the women pretty well, and if you think about it, they are all fairly comparable in terms of skills and ability to hold up under pressure. I have to admit, I'd want to steer clear of the Black Widow given a choice of partners--but even she is capable of making a damn fine plate of food.
Should be a good season, and may provide a lot of fun moments while they smack snot out of each other in the kitchen.

|
Shows how long these details stay with me. Or matter, I suppose.
I thought they sent the correct person home last night. I was glad that Fabio stood up to Bourdain. I sort of think Angelo might win, but it's really a crap shoot because all it takes is one bad day, one bad challenge and POOF it's over.
I think I'll like this season because we don't have to spend weeks figuring out who is who and which are the assholes. We already know.

How clever of them. At first I thought it was going to be a chopping challenge and that would have been lame with this group.
I'm not a fan of Richard. I've eaten at Flip and it's nothing to write home about. I wish he would tone down the cocky attitude.
I could watch Carla all day! She's funny to me and has a good attitude. I'm pulling for her.

|
I think she really can't handle the pressure of this show. She started out strong in her season but began to fold as the stakes started to get high. She was a mess by the end. I like Richard -- he does a lot of imaginative stuff.
I also like Jamie Lauren but I need to see at least another episode before I come to any conclusions about who may win.

Because she was very plain the season she did but this time around she was very girlie-girlie. I liked her hairstyle.
