Here's another - see if you can find Legal Seafood's recipe for Baked Scrod (small cod) online. (If not, I lived in Boston for a couple of years and have their cookbook somewhere around here, and can post it on a day or two's notice). Basically homemade mayo and prepped crushed crackers on really fresh cod, baked at high temp. Have your chips and malted vinegar on the side. If you have a taste for this stuff, you'll like it. Goes well with a nice "bitter" (Brit style ale), or even (perish forbid) a nice German Piesporter kabinett or spatlese (in which case forget the chips and vinegar).

16. I had a raspberry/jalapeno jelly once that was great with brie.

It may have been cranberries, but I'm pretty sure it was raspberries. The jalapenos weren't hot, they just had their normal flavor that offset the sweetness of the fruit perfectly.

PS--that's really how you spell raspberry? I had no idea. :rofl:

That's a chain of burger/bar joints in Dallas. Loved them when I was there, but moved to Austin, and can't find anyone here who makes them half as well. They do more than just put cheese on french fries, but I don't know what, and I'm afraid to find out. So I keep trying to find good cheddar fries down here, and can't. I've been known to drive three hours and spring for a hotel room just to get Snuffer's Cheddar Fries, although I can usually find something else to do to make the trip seem less creepy compulsive than it is. I don't fool anyone who knows me, though. :)
