|
Edited on Fri Aug-15-03 12:04 AM by salin
wow there are all these fascinating and wonderful people here...
Then I wakeup and remember: -I live/work between two cities; -I am in the midst of startup of a new organization I have been working to get off the ground for a few years - and it is finally happening; -And I am kinda sorta dating someone.
Just caught up in the romantic fervor for a second of all of the wonderful vibes sent off by the cool DU couples!
A big old toast to all who are finding one another through the wilderness of DU forums! :toast:

you are among the best of us. A nurturer, a cheerleader (of the positive not andover sort), and one who sees us for what we are - even if we from time to time get a little more passionate/contentious on a thread - even if we at times have blinders in our view - you continue to see total/whole humans and to embrace us for who we are. This can be hard to do in a community based soley upon written words. I think the world of you :loveya:

|
Zomby and Kade Babette and Scubadude JanMichael and Stephanie ..and now Amaya and me.
I guess having DU in common helps start things off...
Oh... kinda sorta? LOL! My boss used that when talking to a customer that I was kinda, sorta the project chemist.
LOL!

| 7. When you "meet" people's minds first, it's deeper |
|
The old chemistry of the visual introduction does not get in the way..
I have known people who were so overwhelmed by the "looks" thing that they never even learned about each other until it was too late and they were already "invoilved".. That's when it gets UGLY..
Before people had cars, they "courted" through letters and when they actually met, they already knew each other..
It's wonderful that you have found each other :):)
We want pictures dammit

We're all going off to the camps soon anyway. Spare yourself the heartbreak and look for a Republican to date: maybe they can pull some strings and get you on the good list.

That strikes me as very funny. Particularly dating a Republican so they can pull strings to get us out. But I think I would rather face the firing squad than a date with a Republican.

| 10. I would be terrified to date anyone from DU... |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-15-03 12:05 AM by rasputin1952
I figure this is a family, and incest is not a goal I am striving for!
In all seriousness though...I will say, without reservation, that these are the finest people I've never met. There is just so much talent here. It is the only place where I have yet to find a real fool. Some may act the role occasionally, but the immense amount of talent here is almost overwhelming.
If this were back in the '60's, (and if I had the $), I would love to have a small city where we all could go to just to be ourselves. No BS, just great companionship, and a chance to really change thjings. I might call it a 'commune', but it would be more like the greatest think tank ever concocted.
My hat is off to all of those who have found S/O's from this site. May your lives be filled with joy, and may we all join in on some of it. Life without love is anything but life; it is existance.
