OMG, Something Big Is Going To Happen!
Richard Clarke "Kent" warned that something big was going to happen. But Terror-Man (the supervillain space cowboy, for those familiar with Superman comics) wasn't paying attention.

What part of BIG don't you understand?

Richard Clarke: Something Is Going To Happen!!!

1. A couple of big things have already happened.....
There have been explosions at two Texas refineries in the last week that the media has all but ignored. (I think they were both terrorist attacks.)

What about it DUers. Has there been any mysterious destructions of office buildings or municipal facilities in your hometowns that you are aware of? Even if the media is swearing up and down that it's just an accident?

2. Nothing here in the Atlanta area that I know of
or at least nothing that the media has reported, though I heard lots of explosions at Dobbins Air Reserve Base on Friday. My office is right across the street.

4. I live in Texas City, just a couple miles down from the refinery....
Believe me... we have been through soooo many explosions of various degrees, and soooooo many leaks of various chemicals over the decades here.... that explosion was no big deal whatsoever. It was loud, but didn't even result in an evacuation, and no one died. If that was a terrorist attack, they're slipping. There are SO many choice targets here that could cause SO much more damage, that I would bet the bank that it was just an accident or mistake by a worker or failed equipment.

8. Texas ...
George wouldn't let anything happen to his home state, would he? He'd have no place to return next January.

We'll, he'd finally know what it's like to lose both one's job and home.

5. Texas, you say? Why isn't * hamming it up for all he's worth?
* would likely use those attacks to strengthen his position. One he helped to create in the first place... Why should the *-friendly media remain silent?

6. Those attacks weaken his position
After all those billions and all the abolitions of civil liberties, to admit that we're getting hit by terrorists would VASTLY weaken his position.

"Gee, Shrub, you said giving the FBI access to my book-purchasing records would end terrorism in the world forever. WELL?"

7. Don't think of that way ...
We're not abolishing civil liberties, just outsourcing them.

Unlike jobs, they'll come back ... in a millennium or two.

:silly:
