My daughter just got two guinea pigs at the county fair. She brought them home and they stink.

You have to clean the cage every day pretty much.

To not clean a rodent cage daily is somewhat cruel.

Cedar isn't recommended, at least for rabbits, due to the possible presence of aromatic oils, and a link to liver damage. Your daughter can Google and probably find some type of bedding that's going to control odor and be safe for her new pets.

6. We always used to bring wounded birds to my mother. She later told me she was terrified of birds.

But she was a doctor and there was no lack of wounded birds as the cottages had big picture windows. Of course my mother would just give them a quick look over and prescribe a capful of some sort of alcohol. I don't think the birds often survived.
