1. I had a Compaq with ME. Never quite figured out the point of ME.

It was basically a combination of 98SE and NT, IIRC. If it wasn't a handmedown, I would have just unloaded the ME and gone back to 98SE. 98SE was more stable. Hell, I'm still running XP on the laptop I have now.
