This ain't about women's issues. This is about theatrical manipulation of images for political purposes. Some of us remember the Oliver North testimony in the Iran Contra hearings. North never wore his uniform in his normal day to day comings and goings. But he wore it for his testimony in order to appear to be something better than the criminal he was. Also, the media shot him (tv camera) from below to make him appear larger than life, the noble warrior and all that rot.

If you don't think they won't do the same with Condi....

Men have less of an opportunity (flag lapel pins, notwithstanding) for this sort of thing because men all wear basically the same suit and don't generally wear makeup.
