Fight Bedbugs with Preparation H
Those aren't mosquitoes, you know. Mosquitoes don't leave four bites all in a row, especially not under the bed covers. Yep. You've got 'em.

Fight back with Preparation H! Take a small amount on your finger and make a band one inch high around each bed post. Try as they will, the bugs won't cross the no-bug's-land. Other things you can try: encase the mattress and box springs in a vinyl envelope available from bed supply stores. Oh, and sweep sweep sweep, vacuum vacuum vacuum and mop mop mop. Spray everything with rubbing alcohol but be careful you don't start a fire. Finish up with a defensive perimeter of diatomaceous earth, available at health food stores.

Nitey nite! Sleep tight!

Two years ago my apt. building got infested. It was ugly. Like uglier than having a tea-bag meeting in your house. Fortunately, the management took it seriously, bombed every infected room, and replaced infected mattresses free of charge.

Sweeping and mopping are only of limited use (though it's always a good idea) Bedbugs don't go for dirt, food or moisture. They go for dark, warm, and eventually human blood.

Misting with alcohol is a good way to kill the active bugs, but it does nothing to kill the eggs (which can lie dormant for up to 18 months).

Diatomacious earth around bed and doorways is sure-fire, but it is a bit messy.

It is also UBER-important to sterilize not only your bed, but your desk and bookcase and closets.

And if you get them, you've got to sterilize every piece of clothing or fabric that you own. Dryer on "hot" for 120 min. will kill not only the live ones, but all the eggs.

Serious problem, and it's gonna get worse.

(and it's got nothing to do with hygiene or cleanliness, my dad got them in a major, up-scale hotel)
