Maybe it's a good TeeVee story, but it's far from factual. The pilots are WAY too young. The weight check just prior to flight (and the 'girdle snap') are laughable. Yes, there were 'weight checks'. But not 10 minutes before boarding a flight. The weight check Nazi is a nice dramatic touch, though. Every series needs at least one villain.
Enjoy the show, but know it's a far, far departure from what the world of commercial aviation was really like back then. I was there. :-)

I think they are more in love with the look of the era than being a docu-drama. I want to like the show more than I do. Not sure what exactly bugs me about it; maybe it is a little too perfect.

I think this one may grow legs :shrug:
Still like Mad Men better but, this show has potential -- the details may not be true but the tone is there.
