People who use "1" and "2" ratings are lame

3. I found a great use for the "1" rating

As we all know, Freepers lurk here all the time and they occasionally post. Most of them can't stand it for long, and they end it all with some right-wing outburst. Tombstone City. However, there are those of them who are a little more circumspect and end up staying around awhile. Some even end up with "1000+" posts. I'm sure most of us know of one or two of these people.

They engage in "asymmetrical warfare". They attack liberal ideas and policies, and we're not allowed to lay waste to them in return. I know, I know, it keeps the order and all that, no argument with the admins or moderators here.

Anyway, when one of these known quantities starts a thread, I'll rate it a 1. It's not much, but it makes me feel better.

4. ummm, not all democrats are liberals

doesn't make them freepers. i'm a hardcore democrat, and i definitely disagree with some 'liberal' policies. not the objectives, but the policies. however, i probably agree with 90% of the democrat platform and only 10% of the republican.

i've been hanging out about 9 months and never seen anyone over a 100 posts who seemed like a freeper.

And I know exactly what, and who I am talking about. Liberal, in this case, was a catch-all for anyone left-of-center. I didn't want to try to quantify all DU members by persuasion; it was a shortcut.

I've been around awhile and I know good and damned well that there are freep-types who have gotten their post count above 1000.

I wasn't trying to lump everyone here into the same demographic and policy group--I was using a shortcut word.
