| 2. Here's a few of 'em. . . |
|
Military Families Speak Out www.mfso.org
Veterans For Peace www.veteransforpeace.org
Veterans Against Iraq War www.vaiw.org
Soldiers For The Truth www.sftt.org
(The last one is not-so-liberal, but it is a no-bullshit site about what really goes on in the military. Disgruntled troops in Iraq have been e-mailing this site by the hundreds and thousands.) Owned by David Hackworth, Col. US Army (Ret)

but from a realistic standpoint is Hackworth.com. It’s not a whiners page, because the military is the military and everyone who joins knows what that means. Hackworth does, however, think that Bush is an idiot unfit to run the military, so it has some good articles.
And then, of course, for moral-boosting purposes, my boyfriends battalion frequents www.awolbush.com
Bringthemhomenow.org has a links page that has oodles of support orgs listed that do everything from legal support to a link to occupationwatch.org.
As far as "support" goes, beware. "Support" is not always the purpose of some "support" organizations. Some orgs are the ladies society clubs of the military. They sit around and eat "I love Bush" bonbons, try not to waste your time with them. If you are looking for a place to volunteer or something like that, do check out Bringthemhomenow.org's list.
