| I got a comment on my Kerry bumper sticker |
|
At a traffic light, a guy pulled up next to me and said "Let's hope Kerry wins" and told me that he had ordered a "Re-Elect Gore in 04" sticker for his own car. He added that he had been an "Anybody But Bush" person before Kerry locked it up.
I have had the sticker on for 3 weeks and have had nary a negative comment. I have also seen 5 cars in the last 2 days with Kerry stickers (one with 4, along with a "Defoliate Bush" sticker).
The people in the Kerry cars seem cool. The people I have seen with Bush-Cheney stickers look like assholes.

| 3. I wish that I've seen more stickers, |
|
So far, in my daily travels through the Chicago area, I have only seen 1 Kerry sticker, and I usually look for these types of thing.
I know its early and a lot of people may be waiting for the Veep pick, but its kind of worrying.

| 4. I have the Kerry one on |
|
But I think I will likely be removing it soon--I hope. That will mean I get to put on a new one: Kerry-??????? in 2004 instead!
I also have an "Impeach Bush" on mine. Around here (Massachusetts), there are a good amount around.
I have a couple others on the car, and one gets some good laughs. One is the silver/black "Darwin" coelacanth, and the one that gets the laughs is "God Protect Me from your followers" on it. :)

walking around my neighborhood this week wearing a rainbow colored tie dyed t-shirt and fluorescent orange shorts holding a bush-cheney sign and urging school children coming out of school to tell their parents to vote for Bush. Not the typical 'asshole' one thinks of, but a real clown. It was quite surreal.
Glad to hear you are getting positive feedback on your Kerry sticker!

| 6. Delarage, I have a kerry bumper sticker and the other day |
|
I had a man pull up to me at a traffic light. He starting holding up signs saying "no to partial birth abortion" "abortion is killing babies" (there was no way he had time to make these signs up while we were in traffic, he must carry them around with him). I popped him the bird and then motioned for him to roll down his window. I asked him how many children he had and he said he had lots of children. I asked him how many did he give birth too and he gave me a dumb look. I asked him if he had ever been raped and forced to carry the baby and he gave me another dumb look. I asked him if he had ever had a Dr to tell him that he had to make a choice of his life or the baby's or did he ever have to make that decision for his wife and he said no. I told him that my husband had to make that choice for when I was pregeant with our 1st child (thank God we both survived). He looked at me and said "I am so sorry that your husband had to be put in that position and had to make that choice" I told him that it was mine and my husband's baby and it was my husband's decision to do what he thought was for the best since I couldn't make that decision and we didn't need him or anyone else to make a decision for us. What might we right for one couple might not be right for another.
