Pro-Choice event tomorrow (Sat the 21st) at 2:00 PM

Hi Texans! Anyone near DFW, this is for you!

Pro-choice party is ON for tomorrow (Saturday August 21st), at 2 PM.

I'm trying to reach young people, especially those who have taken little to no interest in voting up til now. Mostly girls, but we'll have several guys as well. I'm trying to appeal to those just under voting age to...well....that's kind of unlimited. If people (especially young women) aren't voting, bring them to me, PLEASE.

We will be watching the movie "If These Walls Could Talk", (about the history of choice in this country), I'll have free copies of Gloria Feldt's book "The War on Choice" (an essential handbook in our struggle), and we'll have a discussion group and some snacks. One disturbing photo will be shown. But it is necessary, and the intent is to frighten people out of their inaction. Anyone over 14-15 years old can probably handle it.

I also have some brochures and free condoms from Planned Parenthood, and we'll have several of us deputy voter registrars and voter registration cards there.

My main purpose in this party is to turn ambivalent people into Democratic voters, mainly based on this issue, and turn already Democratic voters into hardcore activists (a "Petri dish for activists of the future", if you will....)

Please keep mum about this party, and do not forward this info. If you think someone might be convinced to attend, please let them know in person or over the phone. Keep this a "word of mouth" event.
