| If Congress is able to reach an agreement on a bailout package, then it must mean |
|
that there are more than enough votes to pass it quickly and get it to Bush's desk to sign ...
and thus McCain's and Obama's votes will be unnecessary ...
Go figure ...
Total political stunt ...

no longer matters HOW we got into this mess. It needs cleaning up. Are we, as voters, simple-minded, gullible and too trusting? Or have we been betrayed by people we elected in the presidency and Congress? No one seems to be in charge anymore. Republicans cry Big Government has to go. Where will it go? Our forefathers founded our government. Now it seems to be foundering. The last 8 years have been a continuing nightmare. An opera, a tragicomedy, a bank heist, vaudeville skit, Punch and Judy show, and most of all a liars refuge. It would be a help if the major oil companies would turn loose some of their ill-gotten billions of dollars to get us out of this mess. After all they are part of it. I, who have always been a positive thinker, am ready to give up.

The democrates plan to increase the national debt level to $11,315,000,000,000 and they want bipartisan support so they can blame the republicans when this blows up on us in the future. Here is the link: http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/rescuebill_First_Draft.pdf
