Dinner with President Obama

Charles A. Myers

Senior Managing Director

Evercore Partners

Dear Owlet,

I'm co-hosting a small dinner with President Barack Obama at the Park Avenue home of Jane Hartley and Evercore CEO Ralph Schlosstein on Monday September 19th at 5:30pm.  Evercore Chairman and former Assistant Treasury Secretary Roger Altman is also a co-host. Many other senior Wall Street individuals will be attending.

This will be an intimate dinner with the opportunity to spend quality time with the President in a private home.  Given the current Republican field, it is more imperative than ever that we re-elect President Obama and I hope you can join us on September 19th.

You can RSVP to me directly or here:

2. Darn it all!
There's a job fair that evening where jobs for $7.25/hr. are being offered. I have to get in line early because "space is limited".

Jeeze.

3. Well he's more expensive than Romney I can tell you that -
my husband was offered the "opportunity" to meet Romney in the past couple of weeks here in Houston for $2500/plate. Of course, cheapo that my husband is he said "I wouldn't even pay that to meet Obama" (yes, he's a dem).

4. Wow......
This kind of stuff really bothers me. The only people that can afford that are the same wall street people that co-opted what should have been one of the greatest presidencies of all time. When do We The People get that kind of access?

I suppose I could take out another mortgage on my house.
