| Air America Radio coming to San Diego 1360 AM |
|
On Monday, August 16th, Air America radio will begin broadcasting in the San Diego area. The station is owned by Clear Channel. They supposedly did a test marketing in the Portland area and found that AAR pushed their station from the bottom of the market up near the top. But I don't believe a word of it. They've known all along that people wanted populist radio. My guess is that they have insider information and that the Kerry election is in the bag, so they're trying to pretend that they care about market share (instead of just following orders from Richard Mellon Scaife and the Heritage Foundation), before a new FCC can penalize them for being part of the right wing propaganda monopolies.
God bless America! God bless John Kerry and John Edwards! After all these years I can put away the shortwave radio antenna and listen to the truth on my local AM dial! Hey Clear Channel! Thanks for nothing, you a$$holes. Maybe the media's iron curtain is getting a little moth-eaten, and will be knocked down between November and January, but I haven't forgotten who helped build it in the first place. All these years that you knew you could have had the highest market share in the San Diego area and attracted all the advertisers that know better than to advertise on right-wing rant-shows, by simply carrying a talk show that wasn't a bunch of lies, and you held out until a few months before the election. That was my freedom of speech you usurped, you morons. Yes, I'll listen to 1360 AM, but I'll never trust you again because of what you did.

Don't wait! If you can afford it....
It is well worth $10.00 a month for Sirius satellite radio, not only do we get ALL of the great "Air America", Sirius also has some very good shows on their Sirius left channel. At times when Air America is running shows I heard before, I switch to Sirius Left. Not all the shows are good, I hate listening to Alan Colmes from FOX. It is absolutely amazing how good it feels to listen to many of these shows, it's the same people we have here on DU, Buzzflash and the other web based liberal sites. At first I didn't think I would hear anything new because I read so much, but they do supply new information as well as much entertainment doing spoofs on many of the things going on. Right now I am listening to Mike Malloy as I am writing this, another great show! I no longer feel alone in an area dominated by right wing fanatics, I hear positive messages every day, I learn about the good things going on and progress being made by others with like minded views.
I recommend Sirius, we had XM but they cut off part of Air America to run more Alan Colmes, a FOX based show that sucks in my opinion. On Sirius they have all of Air America, as well as some other liberal shows such as Ed Shultz or the Young Turks. OH- Sirius has great music as well...you can sign up on line and listen to the music for 3 days free before you subscribe.
PS: I am not connected in any way with Sirius, nor do I get any rewards for signing people up, I am only posting this to let you know how much I enjoy hearing Air America and the many other liberal shows on Sirius satellite radio, especially now during the heat of the election cycle!

Freaky San Diego Republicans. I used to see them at school all the time. Little Young Republicans that have never worked a job in their life but always preached the value of minimum wage jobs. Nice enough people, but clueless as shit.

| 8. I WISH AAR was broadcast on our radio In GR Michigan.. |
|
its highly unlikely it will happen they have teh Thom Hartman show on for 2 hours a day...and that is about the only LIBERAL show on..they have Rush, Hannity..all the assholes..
ALSO..can i just add..that BEFORE Thom Hartman comes back from commercial or RIGHT before his show starts...this comes on..."the views and statements expressed in this program..do not reflect the views of Clear Channel Communications..." NOW there is another Clear CHannel station that puts Rush on and there is NO notice before his ass speaks...its sickening..
