Scarborough and Buchanan what a couple....sittin' in a tree.... K-i-s-s-i-n-g ...
What is it with all the pundits calling for Dan Rather's head. Most of these people; Scarborough, Buchanan,Gallagher, Limbaugh, they have no journalistic training but yet they think they should be able to tell CBS how to run their news department. Most of the radio hosts are lucky to have the equivalent of a GED.
Why is it they want to hold the networks to a higher standard than the cable news networks and other tilted media. When is the last time you heard Rather call a listener and idiot or femme-nazi. I don't recall CBS running week in and week out Swift Boat lies like the cable networks did. Nobody called for Hannity or O' Reilly to resign. One conservative called a radio show today and said it was illegal to try and effect an election with a news story that was a lie...hello...what freaking cave has this caller been living in?
Rather can retire when all the networks and cable news shows police themselves and fire all news anchors that failed to investigate this administrations lies about WMDs. That one lie has killed over a 1000 American soldiers and no one...no one...has lost their job!

Here you have Scarborough, a Republican zealot and four-time GOP congressman from Florida; Patrick Buchanan, an arch-conservative whose resume includes working in both the Nixon and Reagan administrations; and a total asshole who wrote one of the most vitriolic right-wing screeds against the free press going on about how "partisan" Dan Rather and CBS' producers are?
I feel like I've fallen through the looking glass. Or maybe these people are from Bizarro World. I'm at a loss for words to describe what I'm hearing. But what's really frightening is that there are so many people who just gobble it up without giving it a moment's thought.

You pay for it. You have dozens of choices. You watch the dregs and then complain.

I read somewhere that Bill Maher was going to be on tonite but damn, I couldn't take more than five minutes of that bullshit. In what world is that crap interesting/informative? No wonder their ratings suck.

pretty much do what he wants on MSNBC. And his ratings are slowly improving--he's been beating Paula Zahn in the 25-44 demo lately and on some nights, beating her outright. I guess MSNBC has to appease the Repugs with Joey the Intern Murderer.
