San Diego -- Documentary film on Iraq

The San Diego Independent Media Center invites you to the premiere screening of "The Empire Strikes Out," Alternate Focus's latest documentary about the failure of the US occupation of Iraq.

Wednesday, Sept. 29th 7-9 pm at Voz Alta, 1544 Broadway, downtown San Diego.

Alternate Focus http://www.alternatefocus.org/ is a television broadcast group promoting an alternative view of the Middle East and related issues. They are a membership, not-for-profit, broadcast organization utilizing cable television, satellite television, and the web to showcase video programs not usually seen by American audiences. In the interest of justice and peace, Alternate Focus is dedicated to broadcasting video and film content that provides balance to existing television coverage of Middle East and related issues.

This venue usually asks for at least a $5.00 donation, however nobody is turned away.

Alternate Focus will also be teaching a workshop at the Media EmergenC conference on October 9th at the World Beat Center in Balboa Park. http://www.MediaEmergenC.org
