In their lawsuit against Al Franken, they say he "is shrill and appears to be unstable".

Keith said: "This from the people that hire Geraldo Rivera"

Nobody assigns copyrights, they are simply claimed. That doesn't mean the copyright will hold up in court in a dispute.

One of the premises of a copyright is that it must not be misleading. Obviously, Faux will fail this test.

17. Another response on MSNBC to the lawsuit

it was on scarbarough (SP?) but it was a substitute. It was shocking. They kept saying they were going to run footage of Franken when he appeared drunk or insane (as claimed in the lawsuit) and they kept running footage of O'Reilly acting drunk and insane. Then the talking heads would come back and criticize Franken some more.

The clips were from the Book sellers convention in LA and showed O'Reilly telling Franken he was too stupid to follow the conversation and telling him to shut up. How does that show Franken was drunk or nuts? O'Reilly looked totally unglued, Franken was just trying to get a word in edgewise.

Last night I became alarmed at the right wing media. I was waiting for the re-run of Will Pitt's speech and spent nearly two hours channel surfing. The ONLY fair and balanced anything was on CSpan. MSNBC and FOX were frightening. CNN was no better. If they keep saying, for instance, that Franken is a drunk and insane there are some people out there who will believe them. THIS IS THE NEWS, not a gossip column or an editorial page.

What on earth can we do?
