Randi Rhodes caller tonight mentions DU, anyone catch it?

I tuned in when the caller said something like, "that's what they were talking about on Democratic Underground," and that was the end of the call.

Did anybody catch what she said?

2. Didn't the caller mention Kerryopoly-- the Repug plan to

distribute a monopoly type game that would strive to paint Kerry as a wealthy elitist. I think Randi asked where the caller heard this and maybe she mentioned DU?

What struck me more (and as someone fairly new to Randi Rhodes, please comment), was that she brushed off mention of DU, although she seemed to have heard of us. Does Randi not like DU? Or, is she always just really brusque with callers.

Actually that is one thing I don't like about Randi. She doesn't seem to listen to her callers and even some of her guests, but rather seems to think she can always anticipate what they are going to say. But, being guilty myself of this, I can't totally hold it against her! LOL

Yeah, that is too bad she cut off the caller or didn't mention DU. Maybe she wanted to stick to the "wealthy elitist" topic so she was abrupt. However, that's also her style to be abrupt at times. But dang, she's a very well-informed talk show host and that's why I listen to her when I can.

Oh well, maybe somebody will give us a few seconds of fame; thanks for filling me in!

5. She IS brusque, and I get the idea she dismisses us

as "conspiracy nuts".. she has said so before..

6. I have been listening to Randi for a while

She once mentioned DU and said something to the effect that this board has attack dogs on it. I don't remember the exact phrase but I thought that she was a member on this board.

She also said something about Tin Foil Hat members.

4. I heard it.

To me, it sounded like she just said "oh," in a tone of voice that suggested she knows what DU is, but doesn't necessarily consider it a reliable source of information. It was in the context of her saying she needed to "check out" what the caller was saying.

8. I get the feeling we've been effectively "freeped"

I know there's a growing crowd of folks who see DU as a collection of tin foilers and nutters because of all the cherry picked posts (probably written by folks who end up tombstoned) that end up on RW talk shows and sites to prove how DU is not to be believed.

You'd think someone like Randi would know better, but never underestimate the power of the Big Lie Theory.
