We noted earlier this week that former governor - and now potential U.S. Senate candidate - Jeb Bush was appointed to his latest board of directors at Rayonier, a Jacksonville-based timber and real estate company.
A set of public records provided to The Palm Beach Post today show that while Bush was governor, he and the Cabinet approved $98.89 million to buy 122,000 acres from the company. Bush will earn $40,000 a year as a board member as well as annual stock options currently worth $46,000.
The St. Johns River Water Management District also bought another 7,000 acres from the company for $5.8 million during Bush’s tenure.
Of course, Rayonier is just the latest company to welcome Bush ...
